Asian Center for Legal Excellence, Inc (ACLEx) has been a leading provider of MCLE since 2009.
ACLEx acquired accreditation from the Supreme Court as an MCLE provider in September 10, 2009 and as an MCLE Online provider in September 3, 2020. The company is run mainly by ATTY. HILARIO. B. PAREDES, the Chairman of Asian Center for Legal Excellence, Inc (ACLEx).
In compliance with MCLE Governing Board Resolution No 005-2014, requiring private providers to affiliate with an LEB accredited law school,
ACLEx signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Centro Escolar University, School of Law and Jurisprudence (CEU Law) on November 21, 2014, headed by Dean and Supreme Court Senior Justice Josue Bellosillo (ret.).
Since then, ACLEx, with the support and excellent reputation of CEU Law, has been crafting and launching MCLE seminars consistent with the brand ACLEx has become known for: diverse and relevant topics, professional and well experienced lecturers, strategic locations, comfortable venues, personalized and efficient pre/post MCLE services.
In the company’s evolution into online MCLE, it has partnered with Apptitude Info Tech Solutions, Inc. (APPTITUDE) to provide the working prototype / platform for ACLEx’s online offering. Apptitude Info Tech Solutions is an ed-tech Filipino startup that provides blockchain related services. It’s maiden product, “Apptitude”, is a home-grown learning management platform that is technically compliant with the strict rules of the Supreme Court for online MCLE.
ACLEx envisions the MCLE-Online as another quality and affordable channel for lawyers to complete the 36-unit required subjects within the compliance period, through a unique value experience ACLEx promises to all participants.

Atty. Hilario B. Paredes
Chairman
HILARIO B. PAREDES is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asian Center for Legal Excellence, Inc. (ACLEx). At present, he is a Director of Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA). He is likewise the Chairman of Paredes Law Group which he founded in 2006. Before that, he was a Partner in Puyat Jacinto & Santos Law Offices after holding associate positions in Castillo Laman Tan Pantaleon & San Jose Law Offices, Villanueva Bernardo & Gabionza Law Offices and the Law Firm of Alan F. Paguia.
Atty. Paredes has over 25 years of extensive experience in the fields of Telecommunications, BOT Law and Government Infrastructure (Toll Roads and Rail projects), Corporate and Commercial Law, Banking and Corporate Finance, Real Estate Law, Succession and Estate Planning, Immigration, Labor and Employment and Litigation.
Aside from his law practice, he is also involved in various businesses in real estate, telecommunications and general services. He is currently the President of Paredes Holdings, Chairman and President of NorthTel Trading Corporation and President and CEO of Deliver2U Corporation.
Atty. Paredes graduated 5th in his class and with honors from the Ateneo School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree in 1996, after completing his Bachelor of Arts degree major in Political Science from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1992.
Atty. Candy Angliongto
Head Legal Officer
Candy received her Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo Law School in 2011, where she graduated with honors ranked 23rd in her batch. Graduating with honors both from elementary and high school at St. Stephen’s High School in Manila, Philippines, she went on to pursue her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, at the University of the Philippines-Manila, where she graduated Cum Laude in 2007.
She passed the 2011 Bar Examinations and became the first – and only – lawyer in the family a few months before turning 26. She joined the Firm (Paredes Law) on 16 May 2012, and climbed her way up, first as a Junior Associate, before being promoted as Senior Associate, and now, as Partner and Head Legal Officer of ACLEx.

Candy received her Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo Law School in 2011, where she graduated with honors ranked 23rd in her batch. Atty. Jihan Llames
Marketing Head
Jihan graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2014 with a degree in AB IS Major in Management and Communications. She received her law degree from San Beda University in 2018. While in law school, she had the privilege to train as a tax intern at Sycip Gorres Velayo and Co. She is currently the Senior Associate of Paredes Law Group. Before she joined Paredes Law, she worked as corporate counsel and general manager of Anilao Awari Bay Resort.
Evelyn P. Ochoco
Administrative Assistant
EVELYN P. OCHOCO Is the Administrative Assistant of ACLEx. She primarily helps prepare and organize ACLEx Seminars and liaise with MCLE on all requirements to be submitted. She is also the first point person to resolve participants’ concerns and elevate such to the appropriate authorities for resolution, if necessary.
She had more than 10 years work experience in the same capacity in several leading banks.
She graduated in AMA Computer College, Quezon City, with a course of Associate in Computer Science.
